This was really a place that had been on my list but not really near the top aside from the fact that it was a national park and basically a check mark on my “knock all the parks out quest”

Well, I was extremely surprised how much I loved the Great Sand Dunes. Though we had sand EVERYWHERE it was a great experience. Sunrise and sunset on the dunes felt like we were in another place (not the middle of colorado).

Rocky Mountain High

Colorado you are so beautiful. Our 3 nights in and around the Denver area were great. Just a few miles into the state we were met with a snow storm. And not like an Alabama snow storm where everything shuts down for an inch but 3 inches blowing all around and folks going about business as usual. We loved it.
